[SOLVED] Is it worth to upgrade my pc?

My current pc spec

i3 540
4gb ddr3
radeon hd
450w psu

"Im deciding to upgrade my gpu with 750ti
and adding another 4gb ram".

BUT
I have a lenovo 320 laptop
amd a12-9720p
radeon r7 + radeon r7 m440
(switchable graphic)
8gb ram ddr4

My problem here with this laptop i can barely get 30 fps with low setting(1280 x 720) on most of latest triple A games.
-AC3 unity and above
-Infinite warfare
-Monster Hunter World
......

So my goal here is to be able run those games smoothly if i upgrade my current pc.

Is it worth it and will my current cpu bottleneck my gpu?

Im sorry for confusing you.
Im trying to upgrade my pc. My question is by upgrading my pc will the performance surpass my laptop or it will be a waste upgrading it. I hope i make it clear for you. Feel free to ask more question.

Is your PC some sort of OEM machine (Dell/HP/Lenovo etc)? If so, make/model

750Ti probably isn't worth your money compared to current gen options.

The PC is really old, gen 1 i-3-540.
To be brutally honest, anything you spend on it is a waste of money.
Save up about $500 and you can start again with a modern decent AMD system. Which would be so much more powerful than what you have now.

I pretty much agree that upgrading that 1st gen Core processor equipped machine is throwing good money after bad.
But having said that, adding a GTX 750 Ti or even a GTX 1050/1050 Ti will make it way more game-playable than the laptop.
