Recently i brought a PC with Core 2 Duo 3.0Ghz E8400 Processor, 4GB Ram = This Ram is belongs to me (2GB into 2), Nvidia 9500GT, and with a motherboard which has only 2 Ram slots..& other stuffs But after few weeks, i got a addition of 50$ (Rs. 5500/= in Srilanka) where i could upgrade(shift) from my current PC to a PC which has Core 2 Quad 2.4Ghz Q6600 Processor, 6GB Ram (2GB + My Own Ram) or 8GB (4GB + My Own Ram), Nvidia 9500GT, and with a motherboard which has 4 Ram slots..& other stuffs (DVD Drives, Casing)...

On my current PC i was playing games fine!! such as Sleeping dogs, Assassin Creed 2, Batman Arkham City, The Amazing Spiderman, NFS Most Wanted 2012 & other similar games. The main reason i'm exchanging my PC due to the performance of Applications such as Visual Studio 2013, Photoshop CS 6, illustrator CS 6..& Others cuzz i couldn't be able to operate multiple Applications at the same time.. It gets rarely slow!! i could only do, one application at a time...

I would open multiple windows to do my work..I'll do like Web-Application, Windows-Application, and Applications for OR/AND Gate Solutions (Network)..also I get to open Photoshop, illustrator, & other similar apps to work with those Applications.. So What u guyz suggesting, Is it fine to Upgrade from C2D to C2Q ???
And does it make difference also with games ??

@Thanks in Advance :)

The Quad makes a big difference; we have desktops with Core 2 Duo as well as Q9550. We feel that our Quad performs almost as good as the i7 first gen. Keep in mind that the Quad does produce more heat.
