Question Is It Worth Upgrading From i5-2400 to i7-3770?

I have an RX 570 4GB paired with an i5-2400, bottlenecking in some games such as Battlefield 1 and V, and many other online games, even -sometimes- in League of Legends. I want to get at least 90% of this card's potential performance, so would you recommend upgrading to an i7-3770? More threads, newer technology etc. Is it worth it? Detailed specs below:

Sapphire RX 570 Nitro+ 4GB
i5-2400 4 Cores 4 Threads (No Hyper-Threading)
2x4 DDR3 1333MHz RAM (could be 1600 need to check)
ASUS H61M-K Motherboard

You can, but it won't be great in the long run, it'll get old in a couple of years so I suggest you better wait and invest for a newer motherboard and cpu.

I intend to use this build for a couple of years, then I'll build a new PC, only keeping the GPU in the build. So I suppose it will be worth it as I got a great deal on it.

In terms of performance, hell yes... but its probably more worth it to get a current gen I5, or maybe an amd ryzen 5, but that would mean a new Mobo too.

Yeah, it's around 50 bucks. A bit more with shipping, maybe. Thanks for all the answers. I will do the upgrade but in the future, definitely going for a newer mobo and CPU. It's really frustrating when you are set back by your CPU and mobo.
