Question Is it worth upgrading my 1060 6gb

i currently have a 1060 6gb which runs most game fine, but often just abit worse than i would like, i currently have a

• i7-6700K (not overclocked yet)
• 16gb ddr3 ram
• 144hz monitor

is upgrading to a 1070/ti or a 2060 okay for this rig. i will upgrade my ram to DDR4 once i get the chance

Yeah if your not happy with the performance, I would go for a 2060 and overclock the 6700k.

ye for me i dont find 4k attracting cause i cant run high frames. maybe like Overwatch, Pubg, Apex Legends

i have a b150m pro gaming (LGA1151) motherboard.

i have 16gb of ram and only says 1063Mhz

A B150M PRO GAMING from Asus or MSI are both DDR4 platforms. Also a 2060 is best, Or wait for the 1660 TI.

Worth is something only YOU can determine.
Try this simpleminded test:
Run YOUR games, but lower your resolution and eye candy.
If your FPS increases, it indicates that your cpu is strong enough to drive a better graphics configuration.
If your FPS stays the same, you are likely more cpu limited.

A asus B150m pro gaming motherboard does not allow you to overclock your 6700K

Do I have the make/model of your motherboard wrong?
It is a moot point since you would get little benefit from a ddr4 change.
If you want to overclock your 6700K, you can get some 20% better performance with a Z170 or Z270 based motherboard.

If you are graphics limited, by all means go and upgrade.
In time, a overly strong graphics card can be moved to a new cpu/mobo/ram build.

thank you so much man, my cpu is quite strong. the i7-6700k i believe can handle a better graphic card. on low i better.
