My monitor is getting up there in age. Sometimes the backlight seems to hurt my eyes, but that is probably just because my room is a bit dark. It's in alright condition. The screen looks brand new, minus a tiny little scuff, and the black paint on the base is a bit scratched up along with the black trim around the screen.
The quality is good, however, I don't have many monitors to compare it too. It's rather thick and heavy, but it still produces decent picture.
I noticed some games I play have black bars on the top and bottom since they only support HD. It does get a little bit annoying and makes you feel a bit outdated.
I guess my question is: Is the upgrade worth it just for an extra 1.5 inch and HD resolution? Would you recommend that new monitor?
I just don't want to waste money on an upgrade that may not even feel much different at all.
Current Specs: GTX 560Ti i5 2500k 3.3ghz (3.7 turbo) ^ all that's important
