Is it worth upgrading my HD 7790 with an i3 2100 CPU

Is it worth upgrading the gpu? And if so, which one should I get?

I use my computer mainly for gaming and media consumption. I will appreciate any suggestions and recommendations.

a rx 460 is a good place to start

I would also strongly suggest a cpu upgrade if you want any kind of higher end gpu beyond that


if you get an i5 or i7 you can easily go up to a gtx 1060


this all depends IF you have a decent power supply of course ( you may also need to upgrade this )



so for someone to properly help you they need to know your complete specs and your budget

It depends on the games and the resolution you run. For 1080p you really need at least a 2gb vram gaming card. What you have now will do alright at 720p but will struggle at 1080p in all but the older games. Your i3 will hold back performance on CPU dependent games, so upgrading your videocard won't help you with those games.
