Play games, Watch 1080p videos, basically have an overall faster pc. What type of build would I need to get most games working (not talking about GTA 5 or Fallout 4) and also to be able to handle for instance recoding while gaming?

Recording while gaming, you are going to want an i7, or an i7 based Xeon E3. Reusing case, optical drive, and graphics card, this would be the cheapest way to get there. I would then upgrade to a GTX 1060, once it comes out. For recording, it is a good idea to have the drive that is handling the recording, to be separate, from the one the game is stored on.
