Hello,

I have a fairly budget PC that runs just ok in old gaming titles such as CSGO and WoW Classic.

My specs are:

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600
GPU: MSI GTX 1660 VENTUS XS 6G OC
MOBO: ASRock B450M PRO4
RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 3200MHz (2x8Gb KIT)
PSU: Thermaltake TR-500PCEU 80 Plus Bronze 500W
SSD: Samsung 860 EVO SATA

I was using 24" 1080p 60Hz monitor before but recently I got another monitor pretty much for free from my friend, which is Asus TUF Gaming VG27AQ, 27" 1440p 144Hz panel.

I' m looking forward to playing a lot of Cyberpunk 2077 and Call of Duty but I think that the new monitor is a bit of an overkill for my GTX 1660. Therefore I'm looking for an advice if it is a good move to upgrade to 3060Ti but keep the other parts for now. The only part I'm planning to replace is my PSU. It's is fairly old but works well, tho I think 500W will be a bit too low for a new GPU.

yes the power supply you mentioned needs to be upgraded before getting the 3060TI since it requires a 600 watt psu, if you have the budget. Though a gtx 1660 to a RTX 3060 ti should give you a huge boost and with that you get ray tracing support and that dlc something idk whatever it is

also it should work fine on 1440p with the 3060ti, though I’m not sure cause I’ve never had a 3060, but it should give you a boost over that 1660.

then again it’s your choice to decide weather you want to upgrade now or save it for later.

You'll want at least a RTX 3060 Ti for 1440p 60+ fps, but if you want higher fps than that or want to be able to run Cyberpunk at 1440p 60 fps with all the ray tracing turned up, you'll want a RTX 3080.

3080 is kinda pricey for me, considering that I need to replace PSU as well. So I'm looking forward to 3060Ti, just slightly worried. Won't it get bottlenecked by my other parts?
