Is it worth upgrading to 1080p?

I currently have a Samsung 1600x900 LED display and a GTX 1050Ti i was wondering should I consider upgraging to a 1080p monitor or is it not worth it?

Subjective, but I'd say yes.

There is (roughly) +50% more pixels in a 1080p display, and the same aspect ratio.

While a 1050TI could probably do Ultra (on average) @ 1600x900, you're likely looking more in the Medium-High range at 1080p.
Despite that, the image quality is going to be substantially better at 1080p.

I was wondering should I get a 16:10 monitor? As I'm getting it for cheaper and can I go for a 2K LCD instead of LED and game on 1080p on it?
