Hey, I built a pc over the summer with an i3 6100, I still havent gotten around to the graphics card so will probably pick up a gtx1060 sometime soon. Someone offered to pay me $100 CAD for my used i3 6100, should I sell it and upgrade to the i5? Will it really be worth it? Im going to be using this pc for gaming. thanks

Generally speaking, it is worth upgrading from the Core i3-6100 to the i5-6200 especially if you play games that can make use of more than 2 cores.

The price for a new i3-6100 seems to range from $150 - $160 CAD. If you want to sell it to that person, then try to negotiate the price up to $120 CAD; more or less.

While you can list it on ebay to probably get a higher price, don't forget about fees that you must pay like listing fees, perhaps transaction fees (PayPal definitely charges such a fee, $5 USD last time I was paid via PayPal) and also the cost to package and ship the CPU to the buyer.
