I really like windows 7, as soon as it came out i got a pc with it on there, i didnt upgrade to windows 8 because i really hated it, now windows ten is out and its a bit more tolerable. what im wondering is, with all they have been bragging about direct x 12, and faster computer. will my computer improve enough to warrent upgrading from 7

You wont really notice an difference between windows 7 and windows 10 unless you do a clean install and have GPT partitions and UEFI bios. Then you will see faster boot times and speed enhancement.

Now windows 10 does offer a few other software features that make it worth it.
All the quick options when you right click the start button is very nice as is, notification panel is a welcomed change, improved task manager to name a few.

If you plan on keeping that computer for a while then you should take advantage of the free upgrade (valid until end of july) as Win 7 is already out of full support and extended support does end in 2020.
No.. Cant say I have noticed a bit improve.
you may get some benefit from it being a fresh install.. but I don't see Win 10 being a big improve.
You will need find another justification.
I just like WIn 10.. glad I upgrade from WIn 7 (which I liked as well).
Cheers

i dont hate windows 10, i hated 8 but i just prefer 7. so no reason to upgrade speedwise unless a game comes out that only has direct x 12?

More or less, although if you wait too long you'll miss out on the free upgrade to Windows 10.
