Hey I'm thinking about upgrading my Computer to an AM3+ Motherboard and a FX series CPU, but I'm not sure how much it will cost and what the compatibility is like, I'm keeping my ram, gpu and power supply the same.

The CPU is a dual-core AMD A4 2.80ghz (OC to 3.8). The problem is that it does not run new games like BF4 and even BF3... So I already know what motherboard to order AM3+ socket. Anyways here are my specs:

CPU: AMD A4 APU 2.80ghz DUAL CORE
RAM: 16GB DDR3 1600mhz Corsair
GPU: ASUS HD7850 2GB GDDR5
Power supply: 750W
Motherboard:AAHD2-HY

Now to what i want to upgrade is the Motherboard and CPU so I'm asking you guys Is it worth it and what FX CPU should I get. Im looking for the best priced good cpu.

Oh and yes the motherboard I'm upgrading to is: GIGABYTE GA-78LMT.

Get the FX 8320 and you can just overclock it to 8350. For motherboard just get any ASROCK, Asus, MSI, or Gigabyte because they're all pretty good. Just remember to read the reviews and I suggest you to only overclock if your motherboard is over $100.

Amazon doesn't always have great deals I use pcpartpicker.com
If you have around $220 I suggest you to get the i5-4670k. If you want to save $40 and get 6 cores instead of 8 then get the 6300 instead of the 8320,

Motherboard: Asus M5A99FX PRO R2.0 ATX AM3+ Motherboard ($126.98 @ SuperBiiz)
Total: $278.96

Could you translate that into £ Pls? And I'm not sure about the motherboard, Its to expensive for me so i think ill stick to the gigabyte since I ain't planning Overclocking the cpu or anything since I'm getting the 8 core cpu, I've seen the benchmarks it runs perfect. And I wanna ask... How come intel 4 core beats amd 8 core?

It would be around 166 pounds :p the mobo you've selected only supports DDR3 800 and 1066 which means it won't be compatible with your ram.
Here is one for UK that's cheaper but still good

Seems like UK's stuff are a bit more expensive so go with the FX 6300+other asus mobo.

Each of Intel's cores work more efficiently as single cores. Intel also uses less power. You can also see a huge FPS increase in gaming when comparing even the i3-3225 with 8320 (around 10fps). It's kind of hard to explain but AMD is more of a budget CPU and Intel is for people who can afford them :).

Great! I'll stick to those! £140 is something I can afford and, doesit support crossfire because hd7850 can run bf4 at 45fps on ultra, it is a good framerate, but this is next gen and I feel like upcoming games are gonna be something.
