Hey guys, just wante to ask is it worth to uprage to gtx960 from an gtx750? system i5 4460 8gb 1600 mhz asus h81-k motherboard

Solution
a good quality psu 550w psu can handle a 380 but needs to be a tier 1 or 2.... and since ur one is not i wont think it produce the exact given power so i suggest get the 960 and if u can get a good quality psu like a seasonic S2SII jst in case if ur psu fails.... it could damage everytihng if it fails
I'd say it is. 750 is an entry level GPU while 960 is a mid-range one that will run most games fairly well on high settings with some smart tweaks. However, for that price range, I recommend R9 380, if you're willing to change to red team. It's marginally faster than a 960 at around the same price. Anyways, you should check your PSU before deciding on a GPU upgrade.

960 is a huge upgrade over an 750 or a 750ti....
however the 380 out perform the 960 by 10 fps or so not that great but for the same price its worth it however the 380 needs more power to run and if u a tier 4/5psu i would go for a 960.... can we know what psu u have/?? need the brand as well

my psu is pretty shit actually 😀 ir as 550 watt qori psu. I think it could handle the 960 just fine bcs i looked at some like wattage requirement calculators they said i needed around 450 watts so i should be good., but not sure if my psu will be able to handle a 380

also i heard amd gpus have some incompabilitu issues with games while nvidia doesnt, is it true?

I'd consider an R9 380, R9 380x, or R9 280x. The 280x and 380x have similar performance, with the 380x barely edging out the 280x. Both the 280x and 380x noticeably beat the 380.

yea i will probobly be getting a 960 and if my psu fails ill get a new one cos i think i would be upgrading my psu in the future anyway. ill think about 380 or 280x and 380x but i dont think i will be gettin those. Thanks for helping guys :)

You always want to get a new PSU before your current one fails as if and when it dies it can damage or kill your whole pc and that's the worst case scenario. A good PSU is made to take the hit if anything happens so your PSU is not damaging your pc when the worst happens.

This is why people get a good quality PSU and also a quality PSU give power efficiently in so costly your wallet less on the bills.

^Like this person said yes mid range cards and up 90% of the time need at least one PCIE power connector. I have an MSI GTX 970 4GB and it requires a 6pin and 8pi connector but as my PSU comes with 8pin connectors with two of the pins being able to be pulled back to so to use the connector as a 6pin which is very handy.
