[SOLVED] Is it worth waiting for Nvidia Ampere for a 6700k?

i am ready to buy a 2070 super for my PC which has these specs:

6700k,
16 gb skill trident
3000,corsair rm 750 ,
noctua 12db
1920x1080 144hz monitor.

The question is will an ampere 3070 work with that system? Would it be better buy the 2070 super now or wait a bit till the ampere gets out? (just to get the 2070 cheaper)

It'll work....I'm running a 6700k @ 4.8ghz and looking forward to replacing my 1080 with a 3080....the master plan is to build a whole new system around the 4080 ti when it comes out in a couple of years.
A 6700k with a 3070 @ 1080p will be NUTS....your monitor will be pegged at 144.
