Is it worthwhile to repair my r9 390x?

Ive obtained an r9 390x, which is entirely reference design. from a friend, who killed it by exceeding the voltage limit, and it no long produces a signal, or registers in the slot. I am only using a 1050 ti, and the jump in performance would be great. Would it be worthwhile to repair the out of warranty r9 390x?

If he overvolted it the chances are that there is actual damage to the GPU core... which is in no way repairable. If you can find a blown component you might be able to do some micro-soldering and replace it... but honestly that is a huge amount of work to find the issue, then order the part, then effect repairs. If you are capable of repairing it, then it might be worth it, but charging someone else to repair an older card will probably not be worth it. I'm afraid you might be out of luck on this one.
