I want to buy BenQ EW2440L monitor. Now my question is -

1. Should I go for LED backlighting LCD displays ? Or directly buy "Original LED" monitor like LG 23MP67HQ ?

2. I have heard that BenQ monitor often came out with dead pixels... Is that true ?

Overall how is the quality of BenQ monitors ? Are they good I mean reliable for few years ?

Thank you.

Hello,

I recommend buying the GW2470H instead, it's the newer version of the EW2440L, they improved the panel a tiny bit, and they added VESA - it's also cheaper,

To answer your questions:

1. That's marketing. The older "flatscreens" if you will, used LCD panels with CCFL backlight. Today, we use LCD panels with LED backlights or edge lights, so it would be LED LCD.

2. Not really true. And honestly, that happens with all monitors, it's important to read the manufacturers dead pixel policy if you're worried.

All the best!

Thank you for your answer bro :) Overall how is the quality of BenQ monitors ? Are they good I mean reliable for few years ?

Update 1 - Enquired with some offline retailers near my area and also searched online but the model you recommended is not available (I'm from India). Anyway, is EW2440L not good in terms of overall clarity ?

Update 2 - But GL2460HM is available.... Should I go for it ?

Thank you very much :wahoo:
