is lga 1155 worth it?

found an lga 1155 mobo very cheap....should i go for it? wanna change it cause the weakest lga 1155 i3 is better than the highest core 2 quad processor.(lga 775)

I would say no. Especially not at this point. It's a several year old dead platform and there's not many options available unless you go the second hand route.
