Is memory compatible to G41 chipset board.

Thanks,

But question comes here that Samsung DDR3 specification says 1600 speed but G41 support till 1333 speed.

Not sure... can you confirm once again.. can it degrade to 1333 ?

Can you please help me to find out the exact speeds this RAM dim supports.. no official link i found.. Thanks for your time on answering but still I hope more exact answers :)

Before posting query here...i checked above link and not found anything.

Stuck in decision whether to buy this motherboard or not. Becoz either ram/new mb not work then waste of money.

If there are only 8 chips on a 4GB stick, or the chips themselves say K4B4G0846D on them then no, it will not work because those are 4Gbit chips for Sandy/Ivy Bridge or later.

All Intel C2D chipsets and Nehalem only support low density up-to-2Gbit DDR3 chips, or 256Megabytes per chip. So a 4GB stick would need 16 chips on it to work on G41 chipset, and a 2GB stick would need 8 chips.

That's why Sandy/Ivy can take up to 8GB sticks and Haswell/Broadwell can use 16GB sticks. DDR3 has been around for >10 years so it'd be unreasonable to expect modern DDR3 would just work with the earliest DDR3 chipsets.
