I am thinking about getting a new desktop PC. Although I have been in to computers since 89 and a gamer I have always bought. OEm gaming machines. As a disabled vet I am on a tight budget but still want performance. I am thinking about a I7 5920 or 5930 with a GTX 980.
I am it sure about the I7-6700 CPU. Any advice will be greatly appreciated .

They often have good deals on CPU and motherboard combo deals, but it sounds like you are looking for a prebuilt. I always build my own systems so I don't know if their pre-built computers are any good, or priced competitively.

What's your max budget? In general you would do better to build a PC yourself, if your disability allows for it, there are hundreds of good guides and videos online to walk you through the process (and boards like this of course). If you can do it yourself you'll get much better parts at a lower price than any pre-made, barring a major sale.

I am looking for opinions on CPUs. Perhaps a prebuilt is my best option since I have never had one built. I want to know whatever the best options might be.
Thanks

Well, if gaming is your thing then there's no reason to go with an i7, and i5 will do you just as well in that function, and save you a bit of money. On the prebuilt side, if you don't want/can't build your own then I'd suggest looking at a more "bare bones" approach where you buy something cheaper that you can upgrade with things like a good GPU, almost every prebuilt I've seen that was reasonably priced almost always seems to be severely lacking in the video card department (and often the power supply too). That would make your job simpler.

As for which company to buy from, that's pretty much a matter of which one of the reputable companies has the best guarantee and price on a given day, after all, the parts inside of them were all still made by the same manufacturers.

Well, at 2000.00 you can pretty much load the boat at any of the various prebuilder sites. Personally I'd suggest one of these 3, they've all been in business a good while and I've never heard much bad about them-
