I'm getting amd R9 270x in few days. i have corsair vs550 which has 2 6pin connector for 270x. but i keep hearing that i should have 600 watts psu.

here is my spec.

CPU
AMD FX-6100
Zambezi 32nm Technology

RAM
8.00GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 666MHz (9-9-9-24)

Motherboard
MSI 970A-G46 (MS-7693) (CPU 1) 41 °C

Graphics
1024MB ATI AMD Radeon R7 200 Series (ATI AIB) 33 °C

Storage
931GB Western Digital WDC WD10EZEX-00UD2A0 ATA Device (SATA)

I'm getting 270x so that i can play 1080p/720p gaming at 60 fps. don't need anything above that like 4k etc. should i need better cpu to keep up with new graphics card?

The budget Corsair PSU has the specs to run that CPU/GPU combination.
+12V: 42A @ 504W. You should be fine.
Yes, the FX-6100 may be marginal with the 270X. You'll have to see what the CPU usage is compared to the GPU usage during intense gaming. It should be fine for single player mode. But multiplayer gaming adds extra chores for the CPU to do. That will probably be where you see it lacking.

thanks for reply. i don't ever play multiplayer, probably will do with current cpu then.

if i'm getting new cpu it will have to be intel that needs new motherboard as well, so bit reluctant to change cpu right now.

Probably best to hold off on a CPU upgrade until you have the money for a platform change to Intel.

Are you sure you have 666Mhz RAM? 😵
If you do, that could use an upgrade ASAP.
It may be a problem with your BIOS config, having to do with the XMP settings.

The OP probably meant 1333 MHz memory... 667 MHz @ Double Data Rate would be 1333 MHz.

its info speccy given me. here is the more detail. is there any problem?
