This is my very first post here. So pardon me if I have violated any rules.

Now onto the issue. One fine evening when I turned on my pc suddenly there was a message after bios saying "disk boot failure, insert system disk and press enter"..so i restarted the pc when i realized that neither of my two HDDs were detected by the bios. And in the next screen the same message appeared... I kept restarting my pc for 12-15 times and only after that my os loaded and i could access my desktop...in my desktop i noticed my lan was gone despite the lan port at the back being lit...tried installing the lan but was unable..next day i reinstalled windows and none of these problems went away...so i took my pc to the service center from where I bought it..yesterday they called me and said my gpu was causing trouble for the startup process... Before bringing back the system i checked there and it was working alright without the gpu (they said my gpu overheated and and can't run to its fullest)...at the same time my lan port had a short circuit..i installed a pci lan card and everything was working fine when I brought it back unless i went to install 64-bit os..something went terribly wrong during installation abd again the disk boot failure...so i again took the pc to the shop..they found my C drive partition was deleted..they made the partition and installed os only to see immediately after that the windows was not loading...after few attempts they told me it was a mobo problem...after coming home i now see my dvd drive is not detected also by bios...and the screen where the windows logo loads the logo fails to load completely and in the next screen "windows error recovery" message appears with two options: 1. Launch startup repair ; 2. Start windows normally..neither works..i could have tried another install of windows 7 but the dvd drive is not recognized at all by the bios....

In all these i would like to mention another thing that i was unable to enter bios settings with a usb keyboard but a ps/2 keyboard worked just fine...

I know it's a long post but that's as much as I could summarize.

Thanks.

The warranty period is over. Moreover my chipset is out of market. And whatever few are available all are re-serviced, not fresh. The prices they are quoting are equal to new motherboard prices.
