Is my 165hz monitor a scam?

I recently purchased a 165hz monitor (ASUS ROG SWIFT PG278QR) and after looking at the specs: It comes with HDMI 1.4 and DisplayPort 1.2. Seems like neither of these cables even support 165hz. Am I missing something?

HDMI doesn't but the Displayport will.

DP 1.2 supports upto 17.28 Gbit/s

1440p@165Hz needs 16.30 Gbit/s
