[SOLVED] is my 500 w psu enogh for this?

Hi, I recently bought a gtx 560 ti and I want to know if I need to change my crappy psu for one with a better wattage for this gpu. Here are my specs:
-CPU: APU A10 7860k
-GPU: ZOGIS GTX 560 TI
-RAM: 1x8gb HyperX ddr3
-PSU: 500w Overtech GT 6500 (non certified garbage)

The friend of mine who sold me this graphics card has this psu and it runs perfect

I know they’re both sh1t, but seeing the numbers in the sticker, mine seems to be better. But I don’t know, let me know what y’all think

Well, theyre both pretty old, are "nameless" but still provide enough power
you can use either one probably, and just hope it doesnt fail prematurely.

The first PSU only provides 16 amps for +12 volt (192 watts) and the second is worse only providing 12 amps (144 watts). The GTX 560 ti has a TDP of 210 watts by itself. You need a new PSU. A decent quality model at 400-450 watts will do.

Per above, the 12v rail is terrible on both. A good quality psu will deliver nearly all its rated power on the 12v rail. Those psu’s should be thought of as poor 200w units by their own spec. Those psu’s are a hazard, if they die they can take other components with them. It’s very likely they also don’t supply clean power and will shorten the life of anything connected to them. If you don’t want your pc to prematurely die get a high quality 450w psu.

The GTX 560 ti is pretty old (2011), so I looked up a selection of the cards on PCPP to get the TDP-

thank you all guys for the replies. I live in Argentina where budget and quality doesn’t have a lovely relationship and good pc components are hard to reach. I decieded to buy a good psu (80plus one), will it be enough with 400 w? which one would you recommend?

I could just buy the one that my friend has (2nd pic) for about 42 u$d and I know that it works with that one because we tested it or I could save a lil bit of money and buy a Thermaltake smart (spd-0430p) with 430 w for around 117 u$d

not really, all psu from known brands are up to 160 u$d and starts at 700 w which is more than I need. I will try to find an used 80+ psu
