My system specs are:

AMD Ryzen 7 1700 with stock cooler
MSI Armor OC RX570 8GB card
Gigabyte DS3H-B450
16GB ADATA XPG 2666mHz DDR4 RAM
Crucial MX500
7200 RPM WD Blue HDD
Logitech G403 Hero
4x120mm fans
Silverstone CPF04 Fan Hub/Extension
Velocifire TKL02 Keyboard
Acer SB230 Freesync Monitor
Logitech G403

I had my PSU for about a year and a half. I am worried that PSUs degrade over time and I wonder if it is the case.

Solution
It's fine, the amount of power it draws doesn't degrade over time but rather it's reliability since the heat starts to destroy the mechanical parts. When it dies it'll most likely just not power on, though on rare cases it can short or explode. Emphasis on rare cases. As for 500 watts, the rx 570 only needs a 450 watt minimum so you have plenty overhead. I wouldn't worry until your PSU is over 5 years old (given that it's a respected brand name PSU). I have a PSU back from 2013 running my server and it's still running just fine. So a good PSU will last a pretty long time.
