Hi,

Built a machine for htpc/gaming. 2 660ti in sli, i5 2500, corsair 750tx, ballistix 1600 ram 16gb, Asus mobo.

Everything was running well but I didn't like the fan noise coming from the evga card so I fitted a artic custom cooler. Now the card is crashing in windows when attempting to sli. When I run it in a single 1 card slot I get green lines at the bios screen and windows freezes upon entering my password. I removed the card to inspect closer and I notice the pins on the hdmi slot have bent. I also noticed the board was flexed slightly. Anyway how can I tell if I fried the board?

Can't smell anything. Possible short from the ram glue? If the board flexes too much under hear will the gpu lift off the board on the corners? Has to be something I tried all software resolutions to no avail.

+1

Pretty sure that was the issue. I left the back plate off. Looks like I ruined the card. Sucks. Directions were horrible.

Yes i tested multiple cables, same result. I bought about 660ti and the machine booted up right away. I can definitely say the card went bad. The pins i'm revering to are on the HDMI output on the card.

I have no experience RMA'ing a product, what circumstances need to me met to RMA?
