[SOLVED] Is my 750W power supply enough for a RTX 3080?

Hello everyone, currently I have a RTX 2080 but want to sell it and buy a 3080 when the new 3000 series GPUs are released later this year. The issue is, I have a i7 9700k overclocked to 4.6 ghz as well and with the TDP rumored to be around 320 watts for the 3080 I'm slightly concerned if I'll even be able to run a 3080 in my system. The last thing I want is to sell my 2080 prior to the release of the 3080 and not even be able to run it. Thoughts?

Frankly, you should not be worried about it - even with a 3080, your PSU should still have plenty of headroom.

You will be fine with this PSU.

320w gpu. 250w cpu. 100w (generous) for everything else. If you ran everything possible at max load (consider that Impossible to do) you'd still only hit 670w. Gaming loads on the psu rarely hit beyond 70%, so you'll be averaging @ 470w or less, maybe possibly a little more, but well under what that G3 is capable of sustaining.

what about a evga b5 750 80 plus bronze would that be enough??.. or do i need to upgrade??.. im worried it wont be enough
