I just upgraded from a SATA SSD to a 970 EVO. I've used both the Samsung Magician and Crystal Disk Mark, and I'm getting about 1800 Sequential Read/1700 Write. That's a pretty big upgrade over the old drive, which was getting 560/500.

But there's obviously room on the 970 EVO, too. My question is, am I being limited by my motherboard, or do I simply not have something set correctly? This build is a handful of years old, so I'm still using an Asus Auro B150 Pro Gaming Motherboard (https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/B150-PRO-GAMING-AURA/overview/).

I've done some reading here and other places, so I checked the CDInfo for the transfer more and it's listed as PCIe 3.0 xs | PCIe 3.0 x4.

Anyways - if anyone has some insight, I'm all ears. My guess is that it's a motherboard limitation, but if I'm not getting the maximum speeds, I'd love to correct that.
