Question Is my Aorus AD27QD busted or am I an idiot?

I've been trying to remove the safety plate on this thing so I can adjust the height for, like... an hour. Have seen videos of other people removing it with relative ease, but I swear on my mother's future grave this thing will not move. Seriously feels like it's stuck, is it possible there's something wrong with mine or am I stupid?

It doesn't really move lower or higher at all. When I pull it out it shifts a tiny bit but still won't actually come out, and it'll move side to side a fair bit.

The method for removing the piece of protective plastic is stated in the video you've linked. Push down slightly while the plastic is in the slot and pull towards you, that will nudge it out. Please be advised that breaking the protective plastic piece won't damage anything.
