Is my APU the problem

After upgrading to a GPU and getting a new PSU I've paid more attention to my A8-5500 APU and I'm wondering, is it the reason a lot of games are choppy when they shouldn't be?

A8-5500 APU Quad Core 3.2 GhZ
MSI-Jasmine MOBO
6GB DDR3 RAM
Sapphire HD Radeon 7770 1GB
SeaSonic 520w PSU
