The blanks are undecided and in regards to the Internet, I’m gonna set up Ethernet. I’m building this PC for streaming and Gaming. The estimated total for this is roughly $1,300. Any suggestions? Is it good? Give your honest opinions please.

Not the old gen I7, try coffee lake and I5-8400 will be on par with old gen I7 in gaming. 1070 does not fit your budget, get 1060 6gb instead. Two routes.

If you are a new builder, some tips from my side:

1) Buy either coffee lake (Intel i3/i5/i7 8xxx series) or AMD AM4 platform (AMD Ryzen R3, R5, R7 series)
Reason: A) Both platforms are new and have the longest life at this point. AM4 will be supported for next 5 years, meaning
you will be able to use any new released CPU in the same motherboard.
B) The number of cores and threads. Coffee lake i3 has now 4c/4t, i5 has 6c/6t, i7 has 6c/12t. Ryzen R3 has 4c/4t,
R5 has 4c/8t and 6c/12t, R7 has 8c/16t

2) Your budget is tight considering you have to buy monitor and peripherals in 1300 USD. You may be limited to only 60Hz 1080p monitor in this range. However, if you are a streamer, you should invest in a 144 Hz 1080p monitor at least and of course, it will be a little more expensive

3) For pure gaming, intel is the way to go. BUT, for anything else including streaming AM4 is the way to go due to the fact that AMD CPUs have more thread count than intel at a particular price point. e.g. i5 8500 has only 6C/6T, while the similar costing Ryzen 5 1600 has 6C/12T. Intel's cores are faster than AMD and generally win when only gaming. Streaming and recording, I doubt. And, if you edit videos then i5 will bite the dust again Ryzen 5 1600

4) I would suggest you choose a middle ground and go for a Ryzen 5 1400 (4C/8T) with slightly less 8MB of L3 cache. It will be cheaper than either of i58500/R51600 build and serve your purpose nicely. Put this money saved in a GTX 1070. Get a 144Hz monitor and enjoy your games/streaming

5) Vapour gave 2 very nice options of builds. But, in the second build, you are putting money in a 144 Hz monitor and only getting a 1060 6GB, which will only do 60-75FPS in most games. So, either save money and buy a 75Hz monitor or burn some more money and get a 1070 to utilize that monitor. Although, even with a 1070, you will get anywhere between 80 and 144 FPS depending on the game.

At this point, I have a question for you. What are the games you play and stream? What are the games you only play and not stream? Reason why I am asking is because, if you play and stream LOL, DOTA, CS:GO, overwatch or other light games, then a build with 1060 and a 144Hz monitor is enough. However, if you do Destiny 2 or Witcher e.g., then 1060 won't cut it at 144 Hz

For streaming, 1600 is good for its 6 cores/ 12 threads. Waiting for 8400 streaming bench coming out.

I plan to stream Overwatch predominantly. Maybe I’ll venture into COD or 2k. Would you mind making “corrections” to my build like vapour did for a better understanding? I don’t wanna spend over 2,000 on a PC, but I wanna be able to game and stream at a high quality

If you are stretching your budget, then yes, by all means, go with the second build by Vapour and replace the GTX 1060 by a GTX 1070. It will be an awesome build. In the future (or now), if you decide to go 2k @60-75 Hz, this build will perform excellent.

One last thing. I noticed that the second build has no cooler. Before I start saving for this, is one needed? Perhaps a cooler comes built within one of the parts?

stock cooler is enough for decent overclocking for Ryzen 1600.

Here is the final build for you. AMD R5 1600 doesn't need a cooler. You can even overclock it on stock to about 3.7 GHz if your temps allow.
