Is my build ok?

Solution

Well, that outdated socket motherboard and Cpu perform better than the one you listed. Also, keep in mind that SB was socket 1156, IB was socket 1155, and Haswell is socket 1150, do you think the next generation Cpu won't be a different socket? I didn't know the Ram was OOS, too bad about that honestly. I wouldn't count on the Asus board overclocking better. I was just stating that the MSI is clocked higher stock than the Asus for the same price. I included the same Psu in my build, I just don't like...

It's all compatible but it isn't good at all.

This is a lot better.

Step down to the Ivy Bridge i5, but it's 200mhz faster stock. Means it'll out perform the 4430 for just 5 dollars more. You get the money back on the motherboard. Ram is CAS8, so it's worth the extra 5 dollars there. About the fastest stock clocked 760 out right now, it's a good buy. Very nice case on sale right now. Adequate Psu, only thing I dislike is the fact that it's only 80+ certified. I generally don't like dropping below a Bronze cert. at least. Standard 1tb HDD and optical drive.

WELL UM.

No point using getting an outdated socket motherboard for +.2ghz.
That RAM is OOS.
The asus GTX 760 can overclock better than that MSI.
Nothing wrong with that PSU either, it's by Seasonic.
My build is $5 cheaper

I change some pc components.
1) RAM, you don't want to buy two individual sticks, because they may or may not work with each other. You need buy the Kit RAM like 2x4GB, 2X8GB, because the manufacturer test them to make sure they work. If you use the PC for games, 8GB will be more than enough. But if you still want to 16GB then get this one. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B006YG9EEW/?tag=pcpapi-20
2) HDD, you want to get the 7200rpm, not the 5400rpm that is only good for storage. you are better to use the 7200rpm for OS.
3) PSU, reason: cheaper but still good for the r9 270x, the GPU requires 500w but I add more wattage for headroom.
http://www.realhardtechx.com/index_archivos/Page362.htm
4) I add a cpu cooler and the better MB, you can easy to OC to 4.0+Ghz with the asus M5A97 R2.0, and the cpu cooler keep the cpu temp down, because the AMD cpu is easy to cool down, so I pick the cheaper one usually I will recommend hyper 212evo.
BF4 cpu/GPU performance http://www.techspot.com/review/734-battlefield-4-benchmarks/page6.html
If you buy those cpu+Mb combo. you can save some, but I still recommend to get fx6300+m5a97 r2.0

Here is my list.

Regardless, gotta trim 40 dollars from the build.
