IMHO you should have asked before you bought. The cpu is an aging architecture with weak cores and will struggle in cpu heavy games, between what the cpu and expensive motherboard cost you could have bought an i5 which is a better gaming cpu. 8Gb of ram is good for gaming and spending less on the cpu, mobo, and ram you would have left you more money for a faster gpu. You also didn't list a PSU, the psu is essential to a good build, a bad choice of psu can lead to system instability, sudden shutdowns, and even damage hardware.

I would go with Intel if I were you, I have an i5 4690k on a asus z78 with a kingston ssd and it runs so fast and so smooth boots in about 10-15 seconds, I haven't tried it for gaming yet as I am waiting on my graphics card however just using the pc feels nice compared to my old fx 4100 and also most games never really take advantage of 8 cores as far as I am aware that may be utter crap, but I would seriously go Intel, best thing I ever did!
