Hi, I'm looking at building this set up to play games on ultra 60fps and I may be overclocking I'm not sure if I need to at the moment but in the future I will. Does anybody have any suggestions for parts that might be better or cheaper for the same performance?

(Graphics card includes MGSV)

No OS, monitor, wireless adapter or optical drive required.

Are the motherboard and PSU suitable? Also is the cooling sufficient?

No point of a 4690k, with an H97 board, as it is not made to overclock. Swap it for an i5 4590. Also Skylake just released today, so if not in a hurry, you might want to wait a bit. Everything else looks fine.

You have an overclocking CPU on a non overclocking motherboard. Change for a Z97 motherboard.

Get low profile RAM like Crucial Ballistix so you can use an aftermarket heatsink for overclocking.

Decided against overclocking as I simply don't need to. Looking at the 4590 now and it has great reviews.

Could anyone suggest a CPU cooler? I don't think I will need one but if I start pushing the CPU I will.

Also would I be better paying a little extra and getting a 600W Corsair PSU instead of the XFX?

The stock cooler is sufficient for a 4590. If you want better cooling, the RAIJINTEK AIDOS is a good cooler, for the money. I stumbled across that one looking for an alternative to the Coolermaster hyper 212 evo.
