Hello,

I'm relatively new to building a PC , albeit not a noob in computers as I'm a data analyst - just hardware isn't my forte. I have an old PC in which I'm taking the GTX 670 MSI OC edition out of that I recently purchased and the 8GB Kingston HyperX Genesis RAM that was inside the PC too.

My build will be for gaming but also high workloads and calculations on Excel and other programs hence why the use of AMD processor for price/budget and how it can handle bigger calculations such as Excel I believe ?

The build:

Case: Fractal Define Design R5
PSU: EVGA G2 750
CPU: AMD FX-8350
CPU Cooler: 212 Cooler Evo
Motherboard: Gigabyte
GA-990FXA-UD3 Rev 4.
GFX Card : MSI GTX 670 OC Edition
RAM : Kingston HyperX Genesis 8GB
SSD: Samsung Pro 850 128GB
HDD : WD 1TB

Is this the best parts for the price ? Bare in mind the HDD , RAM and GFX card coming from current PC. Limit is £100 per part except CPU but that is £150.

Also In 3-6 months time I may double the RAM and if I see another GTX 670 on eBay cheap I would SLI them.

What's the next step up from i5 4460? Benchmarking says amd is better but the research says i5 is better but I don't mind going maybe an extra £50 to blow it out the water?
