I was on Overwatch marathon (5-7 hours) when suddenly my pc shut down and i smell something burn.Unplugged everything and waited 1-2 hours before trying to boot it up.There's a click, pc fans spin for a second before everything just stopped. Took out the card and tried to boot it up and it works fine. Does that mean my card is fried/dead,am i able to RMA it? It's still under warranty.

Brief specs:
i5 4690k
Maximus VII Hero
MSI GTX 970 Gaming 4G
CM Hyper 212 Evo
EVGA G2 750 PSU

Can you boot into bios to see if the card is detected? Do the fans spin up on the card when booting?
Do you have a speaker plugged into your mobo, and get a set number of beeps?
Does seem like it's dead or your psu had a seizure and cant support the draw with it in anymore.

I can't boot up if the card is plugged. And i don't have any other pc to try it on. Is the PSU at fault or was the card just on too much load?

They're all running notebooks. I'm gonna contact MSI support tomorrow. Would the warranty cover this sort of thing?
