[SOLVED] Is my cd/dvd drive to slow?

I just bought a usb external cd/dvd drive for my new gaming rig.
I installed a racing game that had two disk. It took almost 50 minutes to install the game.
Is that a normal time? Or is it to slow?

Yes they are slow, much slower than HDDs.

Slow but normal -- it's on account of using USB for data transfer.
