is my cinebench score good?

i have a ryzen 7 2700 overclocked @3.90ghz on the stock cooler (cant get to 4.0 without upping the voltage so when i get an aio i will)

my cinebench score was 1709, the hottest the cpu ever got was 83c but on average was about 73c under load.

is this score good?

It's okay. It's lower than a stock 2700X, but not by much. I'm not presently aware of the bottlenecks in CB15, but I'd make sure the RAM settings are properly configured.

I'd be happy with those scores on that CPU, though.

thanks thats what i was thinking but was not sure, once i get an aio and can keep the temps down when giving it more voltes how far do you think i could take this cpu?

I don't have it in front of me, so I couldn't say. This partly depends on how stable it needs to be as well as how long you want it to last.

Just keep the voltage below 1.3-1.35 and keep an eye on thermals, and there shouldn't be any issues on the longevity front.

Other than that, you could also just enable PBO, dial in a -50 mV offset, and be done with it.

So your score is pretty close to what it should be.

Check to see what kind of turbo frequency you're getting. It could be that your base frequency is being overclocked but you're not getting much more turbo than you would if you weren't overclocking at all.

According to HWiNFO64, when running Cinebench R15, my all-core clock is 3.949 GHz, and my maximum CPU temperature is 65.6 C (Tdie - or 75.6 C Tctl with the +10C offset).

I'm using a be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 4 CPU cooler.

But according to CPU-L (a nice processor comparison app on Android), the stock Cinebench R15 scores for the 2700 and 2700X are 1529 and 1778. So you're definitely getting a higher score than the 2700, and you're almost getting the score of a 2700X. So not bad.

so after reading this i did the test again and got a 1751 score and the temps only got to about 68c, so idk why i got such a higher score but i will take it a guess, oh and before the overclock my score was 1676.
