Is my cmos battery dying?

Hey!

I recently bought a refurbished laptop. When I powered it on for the first time and got a message that read something like "cmos not recognized, reset bios to defaults".

I reset the bios and so far everything is fine, but should I be worried that I got a laptop with a faulty battery?

if that message keeps coming with restarts then the Cmos battery is probably dead yea.
You dont have to worry when it pops up at first boot.

just replace the CR2032 battery.
It should cost max 5 bucks
