Hi.I have tried 4 gtx 1080 graphic cards and 2 gtx 1080 ti all different brands and all of them have had coil whine. The last one I got now it's realy loud on so I wonder could this be the Psu and not the gpu's fault?
My pc specs are:asus gtx 1080 ti rog strix oc,32gb memory/ram,i7 7700k,asus rog z270h moatherboard,Cooler master v1200 1200w psu.

well , since your card is nvidia i might not be eligible to answer your question . but in AMD cards it's an uncapped fps that causes the bzzz sound . the fix is in crimson . there might be a similar fix with 1080's cause they say multiple cards result in higher fps . so you gotta go to the SLI settings see if you can limit the fps the produce !

you can enter your different cards with other stuff you got in pc part picker or more accurately in cooler master's wattage calculator . that gives you the proper wattage you need :) . if your wattage is enough then it should be your combination of different cards , or maybe using two ti's with two 1080's ??!?

I might try buy another psu to see if it is the reason, chause switching my graphics card for the 6th time now is not a thing I realy want to do.Does anyone have any suggestions on a good psu thats sillent?

Try to borrow different PSUs from your friends and test it!

Let me tell you my experience on GPU coil whine nightmare:
PSUs model:
- Corsair HX620W
- Corsair RM750i

- GPUs: Zotac GTX. G1 Gigabyte GTX 970. Galax GTX 1070 Ti.

All combinations resulted in very loud GPU coil whine !!

Solution to my case: EVGA 600 W. No more (loud) GPU coil whine. 😀

Good luck buddy. I know how exhausting this is... 🙁
