The CPU is better, but not the GPU...


If I am not mistaken, the GPU in the PS4 is a little more powerful than a desktop Radeon HD 7870 and it uses DDR5 RAM. The GTX 960m is less powerful than the Radeon HD 7870. However, the GTX 960m is more powerful than the GPU in the Xbox One which is a GPU that is less powerful than the Radeon HD 7870 and is stuck with DDR3 RAM which is significantly slower than DDR5.

Console games tends to use lower quality textures compared to PC so the performance hit would be lessened. Additionally, based on a list of consoles games I saw around 4 months ago, most of the games released for the PS4 was at 1080p resolution, but they stilled had some games that were being rendered at 900p. As for the Xbox One...
