How do I check if my computer is good for gaming?

could i get max settings 4k 60 fps, or should I stick to 1440p?

4K 60fps is discutable with a 1660.
But with a 3070 i think it is achievable.
We are talking about ultra settings, RTX and all of that turned on at 4k, right?

i3 3240, 2x8gb of ram, R9 380 4gb.
I will be upgrading my cpu/ram/mobo in June to probalby low end i3's from either 10th or 11th gen.
I play at 1080p and im very satisfied with the performance im getting, its just that my cpu just cant keep up no more, mainly because of its 2 cores.

Possibly a i5, ill see what i save up until June.
I saved up 170$ from my Birthday (november) to now, so i should probably hit 300-350$ in June.
GPU in the next 2-3 years, R9 380 4gb hasnt let me down a single time yet.

why do i only get 30 fps max settings rtx max dlss quality in fortnite with a 3070? i would expect 60.

You really needed to ask these questions BEFORE you purchased the PC.

For recording and running high FPS, a decent high end video card should assist, along with SSD storage,

Im on an old i5 4th gen CPU with a 1650 video card and SSD, can happily record GTA at 40+fps.

For one, formatting. List parts like
GPU:"Manufacturer and Model"
CPU:"Manufacturer and Model"
RAM:"Manufacturer and Model"
PSU: "Manufacturer and Model"
Etc.
Then you can compare parts lists to each other and we can actually get somewhere in this thread.
