Hello, I am building a gaming desktop. I am trying to play all games over at least 60 fps on high/ultra settings on 1440p. I just want to know if my computer can reach these standards and if there are any parts that I could either save money on or are unnecessary. My parts list is:
GPU: GTX 1070 TI Strix
CPU: Intel i5 8400
RAM: 2x8GB DDR4 (16GB) (haven't decided brand yet)
Hard Drive: 250 GB Samsung SSD (Will add another SSD or HDD later)
Case: Cooler Master Pro 5 RGB
Motherboard: Gigabyte Z370 AORUS Ultra Gaming
PSU: Corsair 650W 80+ Gold Certified
Thank you so for your answers :)

If I were you I would go for the I5-7600k with a Z270 mobo or if you have the money go for a I5-8600k with a Z370 mobo. The I5-8400 has a low core speed. If you don't want to spend the extra money on the 8600k you can get another case like the NZXT S340 elite, which gives you the extra $80 for the cpu.
