I am planning to get an intel i5 9600k soon, and I currently have a i5 8600k with a cryorig h5 ultimate cooler. Will that be enough to cool the 9600k?
My current numbers are:

Idle: 25-35c

Under load: 45-70c (depending on the game)

Considering your current CPU is damaged... if the difference in price is significant and in favor of one over the other, go for the best priced one... if they are similarly priced.. might as well go for the 9600K....

my current i5 8600k has one of its corners bent, so i cant run dual channel ram or else my pc wont turn on so i was looking to just get an upgrade. Would I just be better off getting another i5 8600k since not much is changing?

Both processors have the same TDP so your cooler should be more than sufficient.

[strike]If you have a Z270 (or any 270) motherboard you'll need to upgrade that too if you want to use the 9600k as the 9th gen aren't compatible with older gen motherboards. If so, you'd be cheaper getting another 8600k

If you already have a Z370 (or equivalent) motherboard then you should probably get the 9600k as they'll be around the same price anyway[/strike]

ignore all that crap i need more coffee
