Hello, I purchased this computer a while back (not over a year ago) and have always had issues with it "hanging" randomly in-game or just browsing the internet. I've also noticed my boot speeds have gone from 14 seconds to 2 minutes. When i bought the CPU there were a couple bent pins but i gently bent them back with needle nose pliers and it fit just fine (none broke off) but i don't know if this is whats been bogging me down.
I did attempt to O.C. it not too long ago following https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MckeAmnDeTk (Jayztwocents guide on overclocking 8350 PIledriver) just following the general idea, but i only went to 4.4ghz on 1.38V and 3 cores failed and BSOD. After the BSOD i reverted back to default settings and haven't touched it since. It does seem to be ALOT slower since my O.C attempt, but on stock voltage i didn't think it would harm it? Should i just RMA the CPU and hope my next one works better?
My second guess would be my PSU. This is the 2nd one I've had. The first one i did an RMA 1-2 months after owning it due to "coil whine", yet the one i have now is starting to do it also.. When i first got it it was as quiet as can be, but now i can hear it from across my living room (around 15 feet away). Will i need to get a larger PSU?
Heres my setup so you can see if its a wattage issue.
