[SOLVED] Is my CPU a bottle neck?

So, I am in the process of buying an RTX 2080, and my question is, will my i5-8600k bottle neck this gpu?

"Bottleneck", as a general term, gets thrown around a lot.
Every system has a "bottleneck", in the generally accepted meaning of the word.

In certain specific circumstances, it could be.... but for the most part, and 8600K will pair very well with a 2080.

no obvious bottleneck for 1440p+. For 1080p, 2080 is much stronger but not an issue. Good upgrade, just make sure your psu is good enough.

I play on 1080p with a 144hz monitor.

at 1080p probably. at 2k or 4k no. but you dont need to push more than 144 frames so i dont think you will have problems with that.and in certain games your gpu will be the bottlenech(eg Deus Ex Mankind devided) so it is not a real concern your max framerates just may not be as high which only matters if you are benchmarking

I was thinking corsair, but really, i have no idea what psu i should upgrade to. Rn, I have a 550 i believe, so I need to upgrade, just dunno which one.

Corsair makes so so units and good ones. Budget choice: CX550 or CX550M, better: Vengeance or TXM, even better: RMx, RMi etc. Pick one within your budget if for Corsair.

Quick question, is the rtx 2080 aero 8 gb graphics card good? That's the one I was thinking of getting.

The aero is a pretty underwhelming cooler, so will run a good bit hotter than some of the alternatives, and won't boost as a high as a result.

For the right price though, it's still a 2080...
