Is my cpu and motherboard capable of 64 bit

Ok guys and gals. Trying to learn. I have an msi k9n2 motherboard with amd phenom dual core processor. Im running windows xp professional. I want to go to 64 bit and use my 8 gigs instead of the 3 i am using. Any ideas? I know its old but i dont need much at this time.

Yes it is 64-bit, simply install a 64-bit OS.
