Is my CPU bottlenecking my GPU?

I'm using a Radeon 7870 with a Intel Core Q9300 2.50ghz.

I'm playing GTA IV, Fallout, and Skyrim on 1920x1080 resolution.

For Skyrim it's definitely bottlenecking. The game is quite CPU heavy.
GTA IV should not bottleneck, neither should Fallout.

CPU heavy games like Assassin's Creed will pose a problem, and it might be a good idea to start thinking about an upgrade in the near future.

It would make a small difference yes, But its a pretty low end cpu so i would look into buying a new one. gl
