Is my cpu Bottlenecking my gpu?

I been getting frame drops at random. ever since i upgraded from a 1060 to 1080 i been noticing frame drops. I play overwatch, cod, warframe. Any advice would be helpful thank you!

Motherboard: ASUS H110M-A
Processor: Intel® CoreT i7 6700 3.4GHz/4.0GHz Turbo QUAD w/Hyperthreading 8MB L3 Cache

Your cpu shouldnt be bottlenecking that gpu. Make sure your gpu drivers are up to date. What resolution do you play at? I would run monitering software and see what is spiking when you get the stutter. Also make sure your temps are in check aswell.

My resolution is at 1920x1080, and the other is at 1440x900. Do you recommend any programs to do that?

MSI Afterburner is a good program to monitor CPU, GPU, RAM, etc. while in-game.

Make sure to select to download River tuner statistics server from the MSI afterburner installer. Okay, I've done a few tests, my gpu usage drops when my frames drop. sometimes the cpu to. I'll post my frame logs as soon as i can here temps, Not sure if my motherborad should be at 112c
