this is my cpu usage while playing Valorant at medium settings, as you can see, the bottom right core gets close to 100%, but overall utilization never went over 60%. My Gpu utilazation never went over 80% the whole time, does this mean i am being bottlenecked?

Solution
What you mean is my cpu limiting my game performance?
Game performance will always have a limiting factor. Usually cpu or gpu.
Occasionally thread count or ram.

The task master graph does not tell the whole story.
Windows will spread the activity of a single thread over all available threads.
So, if you had a game that was single threaded and cpu bound, it would show up on a quad core processor as 25%
utilization across all 4 threads.
leading you to think your bottleneck was elsewhere.

Try this test:
Run YOUR games, but lower your resolution and eye candy.
This makes the graphics card loaf a bit.
If your FPS increases, it indicates that your cpu is strong enough to drive a better graphics configuration.
If your FPS stays the...
No, valorant is just not that intensive, you can play the game on integrated graphics after all. I assume you have a 1080p monitor, with a 6-core CPU your 2060 will be utilized to it's full potential don't worry. The only bottlenecks in your case are the engines the games are designed on.

Is your game performing poorly or something? I assume you are using a 1080p display; is it 60 hz? 144hz? If you have a 60 Hz panel and you are locked to 60 fps, then there is no problem.

If your FPS increases, it indicates that your cpu is strong enough to drive a better graphics configuration.
If your FPS stays the same, you are likely more cpu limited.

To see the impact of core speed, try this test:
limit the maximum cpu% to something like 80%.
Go to control panel/power options/change plan settings/change advanced power settings/processor power management/maximum processor state/
This will simulate what a lack of cpu power will do.
Conversely what a 20% improvement in core speed might do.
If you are cpu limited, look to faster single thread performance. Overclock if you can.

It is unlikely that all of your 12 threads are actually needed.
To test this assertion, run your games with fewer threads.
You can do this in the windows msconfig boot advanced options option.
You will need to reboot for the change to take effect. Set the number of threads to less than you have.
This will tell you how sensitive your games are to the benefits of many threads.
If you see little difference, your game does not need all the threads you have.

Yeah, ive got a 1080p 144hz monitor, i consistently got over 150 fps while playing, with the avg fps being 195
