Is my cpu compatible with my motherboard?

I have a ASRock Z77 Extreme 3 motherboard, is my intel Core i5 - 3570K LGA1155 processor compatible as is or is the bios not up to date enough?

all Z77 motherboards have native support for ivy bridge CPU, the 3570k is one of them 😉

Unless the manufacturer stated otherwise, but that used to happend with the first z77 motherboards, in this case your motherboard seems to be ready

mobo supports upto i7 no need update.
update is for fixing bugs.
